VSThis week, the European Parliament adopts a report on the cancer plan that has wine professionals in awe. This report, defended by the rapporteur Véronique Trillet-Lenoir (Renew group), is not intended to become mandatory. However, it prepares the ground for a whole series of Commission legislative proposals in this area. Professionals are therefore on the alert and are flooding Parliament with worried letters, especially if dissuasive labeling should be printed on each bottle of the style “Drinking alcohol kills”, like “Smoking kills” on cigarette packets.
