Sseven weeks of war in Ukraine, seven weeks of devastation, suffering and death. We must never forget this reality: war is not a video game; it is not the occasion for heroic charges in cassowaries and white gloves. It spreads ruin and mourning; it is an abomination. The Ukrainians deserve our admiration and support for their heroic defense against an enemy superior in numbers and armaments. They know not only that their fight is paid for by the destruction of their country and innumerable civilian and military victims, but also that the enemy will not give up as long as his prestige is engaged and the fighting does not take place on his ground.
President Zelensky is really great in this crisis because at the same time he is galvanizing resistance…
