The actor accuses his ex-wife of malicious intentions with the sale of their wine estate in the Var.

After Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, another legendary Hollywood couple is tearing itself apart in court.

Indeed, since their separation Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would not get along very well, especially with regard to the custody of their six children.

A new salvo of documents was filed in the superior court of the county of Los Angeles this Friday, June 3 and thus completes the complaint of Brad Pitt against his ex-wife that he had filed last January.

“Malicious Intent”

According to the actor, Angelina Jolie would have sold half of their French wine estate Miraval in secret to a Russian oligarch located in the Var in retaliation for his request for custody of their six children, according to the Daily Mail.

He remains convinced that she made this sale to “hurt him”.

He thus accuses him of having wanted to destroy his company by selling it to Yuri Shefler, owner of the Russian vodka Stolichnaya, alias Stoli with “toxic associations” and “ruthless commercial tactics”.

And that the businessman’s objective would be to take control of the domain.

The malicious intent on the part of the actress would therefore be obvious to him.

The buyer, classified as a Russian oligarch by the United States

“The U.S. Treasury Department named Shefler an ‘oligarch of the Russian Federation’ in an unclassified report to Congress prepared under the Countering American Adversaries Through Sanctions Act of 2017,” according to the documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on June 3.

Even if the businessman claims to have moved away from Vladimir Putin, this file could play in favor of Brad Pitt.

A successful business close to his heart

Brad Pitt had thus taken over the management of the wine estate and had made it grow, making it one of the most famous rosé wine producers in the world, according to court documents that the actor filed.

In 2021, as the custody battle for their children rages and Brad Pitt obtains provisional shared custody, Angelina Jolie decides to sell her shares of the estate. She owns half of it.

According to the documents filed to supplement the complaint, it was a question of selling its shares to “a hostile third-party competitor determined to take control of Miraval”.

For Brad Pitt, this sale was made in retaliation with the request for custody of his children.

Angelina Jolie got custody and Brad Pitt visitation rights for now.

But he wants to get at least joint custody. Hence the complaint and the ensuing legal battle.
