A passenger train overturned this Friday, June 3, 2022 in Germany, in the province of Bavaria. For now, the circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
The train accident happened in the middle of the day near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. Part of the train would have laid down before completely derailing, reports AFP quoted by several media. At least four people died and several others were injured as a result of the accident.
15 seriously injured
The train in circulation was making the classic connection between Garmisch and Partenkirchen when it derailed at Burgrain. Rescue operations are still in place in the middle of the afternoon. “About 30 passengers were injured, some of whom required hospitalization. 15 seriously injured were hospitalized in surrounding hospitals,” local police reported on social media.

According to German media, three helicopters from Austria are currently being used for rescue operations. For now, the circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
