Sspeaking out has changed the course of modern Iranian history. On August 14, 2002, Alireza Jafarzadeh, spokesperson for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, revealed during a press conference at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington the existence of two secret Iranian nuclear sites: a nuclear enrichment plant uranium in Natanz, in the center of the country, and a heavy water reactor in Arak, southwest of Tehran. This opponent of the Islamic Republic, member of the Iranian People’s Mujahideen Organization, thus claims to have proof of Iran’s pursuit of a clandestine nuclear program aimed at acquiring the atomic bomb.
