A few days ago Diablo Immortal was released which, via its MMO dimension, necessarily included a guild system which is called in game, the clan system. The problem is that not only is the creation of these clans not really free, but on top of that, a false manipulation and you find yourself excluded!
A creation that asks to pay
The arrival of clans as a guild system in Diablo: Immortal, we were obviously all expecting it, this mechanism being still rather well known in this type of game. Except that for their game, Blizzard decided to make things a bit more complicated.
Indeed, as on a lot of games, the clans in Diablo Immortal are only accessible from level 30. There, you will have a quest to complete on a bonus board and once this quest is finished, you will have access to the clan interface.
Once you are there you can either join a clan for free either pay the 100,000 gold coins required to create your own clan. This is what a Reddit user, Mrcaruthers, did a few days ago when he reached this famous quest.
An exclusion when you join the Shadows
If you have to reach level 30 to have access to the clan, a few levels later, it is the Shadows that open their doors to you. Now, when you manage to join these Shadows, they also have their own clan system, dubbed Shadow Clan.
The problem is that these clans are replacing the traditional clans and if you ever decide to turn your own clan into Shadow Clan, well, you’re going to have to leave it. This is what happened with Mrcaruthers.
Indeed, while he had created his clan and even paid in gold coins for the right to do so, he was outright kicked out of his camp because of this rule. After complaining to the developers, the response was clear, there is no refund in gold coins.
If you plan to create a clan in the days to come, be careful of this little subtlety that could cost you 100,000 gold coins for not much. So be careful to prepare a group transition by ensuring that your clan members can also join the Shadows via Akeba’s seals.
