A Plague Tale Requiem is the next game from the Bordeaux studio Asobo, which has already won over players with the first opus, called Innocence. After a detour through aviation and Microsoft Flight Simulator, the studio has fully focused on this new episode of A Plague Tale.
Release date announced at an upcoming event!
Appeared several times last week, whether during the Tribeca festival or at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, A Plague Tale: Requiem did not no release date. We got gameplay and a new trailer, but Focus and Asobo stayed very discreet about when the title will arrive. Just this morning, Focus was having fun on Twitter mentioning Asobo about it with a meme stating “no release date?” :
A little quip which amused the community (and yours truly), but which actually concealed a new announcement around A Plague Tale Requiem ! Indeed, a few minutes after the publication of the first tweet, a second publication appeared. And this time it’s the right one. We will finally know when will come out Asobo’s new game!
So when is this special event?
For release date, studio and Focus Entertainment meet us on June 23 at 6 p.m. on YouTube during the Focus Entertainment Showcase. By the way, we will be entitled to an extended version of the gameplay trailer broadcast at Summer Game Fest, and probably to some details around the different editions of the game.
A Plague Tale Requiem is the direct sequel to A Plague Tale Innocence, so we will find there Amicia and Hugo, more than ever hunted down and still surrounded by rats. But the environments are coming more varied, as are the possibilities in terms of actions. We know that the title will be composed of 16 chapters, that there will be items to collect, and that it will be possible to improve your skills and your equipment. Bigger, more varied, will A Plague Tale Requiem be the culmination of the studio’s vision? Answer soon on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch on a date to be revealed in ten days.
