For those who have followed the Supernatural series diligently, the face of Jensen Ackles may not be unknown to you. The star of the show, which spanned no less than 15 seasons, is currently starring in season 3 of The Boys. He embodies the superhero, Soldier Boy, a sort of rereading of Captain America by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. However, this would not be the only project in which the actor is engaged!
From The Boys to Batman, from one comic to another
Those who responded to the call for season 3 of The Boys must currently be chomping at the bit to see the new superhero in action. For series fans who are up to date, episode 4, which aired last week, allowed us to learn a little more about the “Revengers” member (“Payback”, in the original version) through a flashback. However, he could quickly return to the scene as the last minutes of the fourth episode suggest. In short, the future nemesis of Homelander has not yet really entered the scene as the show already promises.
Both to promote the new season and to talk about his personal projects, the actor who lends his features to the one who was once the pride of America to evoke a project concerning another hero of comics, moreover attached to the DC Comics stable. As we mentioned in our title, Jensen Ackles is said to be working on a project starring the Dark Knight of Gotham, along with producer Greg Berlanti, whose fame has been built around his work on the Arrowverse on behalf of the CW channel (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, batman…)

This astonishing revelation, at first sight, which took place within the framework of the emission Late Night with Seth Meyers is however not really one. In the past, Jensen Ackles has distinguished himself by performing dubbing for a whole bunch of animated films taking place in the DC Comics universe.. For example, he lent his voice to the character of Jason Todd, better known as Red Hood (a superhero who can be found in particular in the video game Gotham Knights), thanks to the film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Nevertheless, the interpreter of Soldier Boy is even closer to the Dark Knight of Gotham!
In 2021, he notably worked on the dubbing of the animated film in two parts Batman: The Long Halloween by simply taking on the role of the Dark Knight ! And it would seem that the actor is fully invested in the DC Comics universe to believe his revelations. During the show, when talking about his work as a voice actor, he mentioned the fact that he had spent ” approximately three and a half hours in a studio to play Batman. A huge opportunity, according to him, which he could not miss.
Difficult to know more for the moment, but this is not the first time that the actor refers to this mysterious project. Some time ago he said he was ” currently developing with Warner Bros and other good partners » a DC property : he was also deliberately remaining discreet for fear that it would bring him bad luck. However, his recent statement seems to tell us that he could soon be ready to let go!
