Game News Overwatch 2: heroes, maps, modes… Blizzard is already presenting the content of the first three seasons!
The Xbox and Bethesda conference broadcast last Sunday was the scene of many revelations. We note, for example, the availability of Hollow Knight: Silksong in the Game Pass and the presence of Blizzard during the event with, on the one hand, Diablo IV and, on the other, Overwatch 2. In addition to the presentation of this sequel, Blizzard organized a substantial livestream today to offer us new details.

Communication around Overwatch 2 just kicked into high gear. After a surprise appearance during the Xbox-Bethesda conference, the developers of the sequelOverwatch felt that this was not enough and that it was necessary to strike hard during this post-conference week. Just yesterday we had new elements about the second phase of beta which will begin on June 28. In the meantime, the teams have come together for a fairly substantial presentation of more than forty minutes to be found below.
Between images of the game’s design, gameplay clips and other cutscenes, the developers took turns talking about the qualities of Overwatch 2 and what will make this game a sequel to its elder brother. On this occasion, therefore, the economic model of the title and the additions that will expand the game during the months following its launch were discussed. Moreover, the teams remind us: Overwatch 2 will be released as free-to-play on October 4. Here is what awaits you for season 1… and beyond!
Seasons 1, 2 and 3 content confirmed by Blizzard!
Throwing Overwatch 2fans of the first part will not be out of place: they will find some well-known characters, while a few new ones will appear. For Season 1 alone, Blizzard mentions three new heroes : the presentations with Sojourn and La Reine des Junkers (which will be playable during the second beta) have already been made, there is only one new hero left – it will be a support – who gives us an appointment next month!
However, these are not the only elements that Blizzard promises us for season 1. In particular, it will be a question of introducing 6 new maps, a new game mode — baptized “Push” and which will also have its own menu — and a slew of new skins including a legendary one. The following ? Blizzard has already planned it since the studio aims a nine-week rotation between seasons and we already know what season 2, scheduled for December 6, and the following ones has in store for us! Only downside for now: the deployment of PvE (Player vs Environment) which will only take place in 2023, a few months after the launch of the title.
