Afghanistan: at least 920 dead after a violent earthquake that occurred this Wednesday morning


An earthquake measuring 6.1 according to Reuters hit densely populated areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan early on Wednesday (June 22), the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

A powerful earthquake wreaked havoc on Wednesday. The 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred about 44 kilometers from the city of Khost in southeastern Afghanistan, according to the USGS.
