It embeds a technology called Lumen, a dynamic lighting tool that allows natural light to be integrated into the game. Available to all developers, professionals or amateurs, everyone has their own imagination. to recreate games and offer technical demos like The Matrix Awakens developed by Epic Games.

Some fans even make it their playground and offer us stunning results., starting with a reproduction of The Simpsons: Hit & Run created in just one week. Others have taken up the challenge of perpetuating the legend of Zelda through remakes under Unreal Engine 5 of Ocarina of Time, then of The Wind Waker very recently. Still more Silent Hill

Today, Silent Hill is once again the talk of the town and it’s the turn of the Codeless Games team to deliver a ten-minute gameplay video under Unreal Engine 5 and set in a building well known to our protagonist Harry Mason: Midwich Primary School.

As you can see in the images above, the distressing atmosphere is rather well rendered with the traces of blood, the echoing footsteps or the flickering lights.

Let us recall in passing that Silent Hill is a survival horror released on PlayStation 1 in 1999 in which you play as Harry Mason, a young man in search of Cheryl, his daughter who disappeared after an accident.

Also note that Codeless Games is an amateur studio currently working on a fan-remake of Silent Hill under Unreal Engine 5. So why not hope that the project results in a playable version to revive a cult survival-horror game after the cancellation of the project carried by Hideo Kojima.
