Game News PS5: the strong comeback of a fallen exclusive with new content, thanks to PS Plus?

Destruction AllStars is not really an exclusive that will have worked at Sony, and for good reason: the game seems to have opted for an economic model that did not suit the public, plunging the game quickly into oblivion. However, the firm has just announced something new to come, and for free…

New game modes for Destruction AllStars

What if it wasn’t all over for Destruction AllStars? against all odds, Sony has just announced completely new content starting June 22 for the destructive car game : first, an event called Rise and which will add a new game mode, but also never-before-seen challenges… and even an AllStar Pass. In other words, it’s a kind of battle pass, something very fashionable in today’s service games.

A brand new trailer is also there to, firstly, remind us of the very concept of the software, but also to present this brand new content (to be found in our video player above). The latter also comes at a very specific moment which is absolutely not insignificant: the inclusion of Destruction AllStars in the new PlayStation Plus.

PlayStation Plus to the rescue

As you may know, the new PlayStation Plus is now rolling out to many parts of the world and will hit our shelves on June 22. Those who opt for the PS Plus Premium and Extra will therefore have access to a large catalog of PS4 and PS5 video games (among others), including the famous Destruction AllStars.

The perfect opportunity for Sony to relaunch the machine and bet everything on a title which, despite a certain community potential, will not have succeeded in maintaining its audience over time. Time for a second chance for this title developed by Lucid Games? Lucid Games who were rumored to have been working on resurrecting the Twisted Metal franchise… before being pulled from the project.
