Game News PS5: The price of the PS5 remake of The Last of Us does not pass to fans
Announced during the Summer Game Fest 2022, The Last of Us Part I will relive the incredible story of Ellie and Joel, heroes of the famous license born on PS3. After a remake released on PS4 in 2014, the Naughty Dog studio has decided to deliver an optimized version to fans on PS5! Entirely designed for the new generation console from Sony, this new remake will undoubtedly offer the ultimate experience for all and those who want to relive the meeting of the two iconic heroes. But at a price that makes many cringe…
The Last of Us for the third time?
Yes, for the third time, The Last of Us will be making a comeback. An episode placed under the sign of generosity with the full game completely remodeled to the capacities of the PS5, with modernized gameplay (exploration, combat) and the use of the features of the DualSense controller (3D audio, adaptive triggers, etc.). In short, a kind of The Last of Us Part II transposed in the first episode. If the information had leaked before the event of Geoff Keighley, this did not prevent the fans from appreciating this return, especially after the recent revelations on the graphic changes. On the other hand, when the price of the game appeared, the players were immediately disappointed…

Full pot for the PS5 remake!
During Geoff Keighley’s event, Neil Druckmann, the famous creative director at Naughty Dog (and behind The Last of Us) intervened to announce two special editions: a digital deluxe edition with various in-game bonuses and a Firefly edition – exclusive to the United States – containing a superb box with monochrome illustrations as well as the Last of Us American Dreams comics (available at Omake Books with us). To these is obviously added a standard edition with the game and the prologue Left Behind (without bonus therefore).
Only here, the fans quickly judged that the price charged for these different editions was abusive. If we take the French prices, it will indeed cost 79.99 euros for the standard edition and 89.99 euros for the Deluxe digital edition. In a message posted on Redditthe community has questioned this price charged by Sony and Naughty Dog and many believe that it could have been lower. The Last of Us will return for the third time and if some think that this price is correct in view of the improvements, the pill is generally difficult to pass. Especially since the Firefly edition will not be released outside the United States.

Just like the Reddit user, do you think The Last of Us Part I’s pricing is honorable or represents, as he thinks, a slap in the face?
The Last of Us Part I is expected on September 2, 2022 on PS5 and later on PC (no date announced yet).
