Game News Warhammer 40,000: Darktide wants to match Left 4 Dead and makes a butchery during the Summer Game Fest 2022
Now that the Summer Game Fest 2022 evening is behind us, we can take the time to thank the trailers that did everything to impress us. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has clearly taken us out of the few moments of torpor that we have been able to go through, and it has done so in the best possible way. That is to say with a new trailer as rhythmic as it is bloody! The PC and Xbox exclusivity was clearly not there for fun!
The Xbox and PC exclusive gives no quarter
It’s been a hell of a couple of months now since we heard about Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for the very first time. For that, we have to go back to 2020 and, after a postponement announced last year, it was definitely time for the game to give itself a nice spotlight. Luckily, he was able to pull out of the game during a somewhat deceptive Summer Game Fest with a trailer in line with the games from which he is inspired.
Expected for September 13 on Xbox Series X | S and PCas we announced it to you last Marchso we were eager to find out what the game had in store. He did it and, further still, he even showed us what the enemies of the broadcast trailer have in their stomachs by cutting and knocking down everything for a hair less than two minutes.
A bloody mix between Left 4 Dead and Doom
Those who are looking for a good dose of action must have been served with this mix of cutscenes (to better appreciate the universe of the title) and gameplay phases where bullets fly and where the sound of weapons clashing or clinking on enemy armor and protections resonates in the environments visited. In any case, there are plenty of enemies and you won’t be too many if you want to launch up to four players in co-op!
Indeed, our quartet may well be armed to the teeth, we will not have to be overwhelmed by the number of enemies that can land during your journey. However, you can also clean up using the powers available to the different characters, before tackling the toughest monsters together! Little surprise at the end of the announcement: Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be available within the Xbox Game Pass, enough to be tempted on release day!
About the Summer Game Fest
What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.
When does Summer Game Fest 2022 start?
The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once again be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.
How to follow the Summer Game Fest 2022?
On HelloSolar.info, we will react live to announcements from the LeStream channel alongside Maxildan and Aymeric Lallée in particular. The show will also be directly visible as a teaser on HelloSolar.info’s homepage. And for those who prefer reading, you will of course find our news throughout the conference. A written summary will also be available
What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level. Also on the program: Gotham Knights, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the first game from Aaryn Flynn’s studio (ex-Bioware) Nightingale, the JRPG One Piece Odyssey, the free-to-play Warframe or even Planet of Lana. Geoff Keighley further announced: “We have a few new game announcements for this show and hopefully a few surprises if all goes well. But it’s definitely a show that mostly focuses on things that are foretold.”
