What is the release date of The Imperfects?
Despite a first teaser for this new series during Netflix Geeked Week 2022, no specific release date has yet been announced. The only thing we know is that it’s slated for this fall, so between September and November 2022. More information should be revealed to us in the coming months. The Imperfects is clearly one of the series that has caught the most public attention this summer.
This new series netflix will of course be available upon release on the eponymous SVOD platform, and will consist of 10 episodes which will be fully available upon release. The series was originally announced in April 2021, and production was set to wrap by June 30 of the same year. Filming took place in Vancouver, a city located in the Lower Mainland of the province of British Columbia. This new proposal greatly reminds us of licenses like X-Men with young superheroes at the center of the story.
What is the story of The Imperfects?
The Imperfects is a science fiction series telling the story of three young people, victims of experiments carried out by scientists who grant them superhuman abilities, which can even turn them into monsters. Subsequently, they will seek revenge on the people responsible for their mutations, hoping to find a cure at the same time. However, the government pursues them in order to arrest and investigate them. Of course, their personal life will be turned upside down by their new superpowers.
Who are the creatives behind The Imperfects?
The series is created by Shelley Eriksen and Dennis Heatonat the beginning of The Order. They take on the double role of screenwriter and executive producer. Mathias Herndlknown for his work on The Order, Genius and Warrior Nun, is one of the directors. They are accompanied by Chad Oakes and of Michale Frislev as producers.
What is the cast of The Imperfects?
For the casting, we find Italia Ricci (Chasing Life) as Dr. Sydney Burke. Morgan Taylor Campbell (Forsaken), plays Tilda Weber, Rhianna Jagpal (Motherland: Fort Salem) is Abbi Singh and Inaki Godoy plays the role of Juan Ruiz. These three actors embody the protagonists of the series, transformed into mutants against their will. As a reminder, Iñaki Godoy is also the one with the big task of becoming Luffy in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. For now, no date has been announced for this new interpretation of Eiichirō Oda’s manga.
