During its Geeked Week, the Netflix platform unveiled its next series projects in images. Among the many announcements emerged The Cabinet of Curiosities, a horror series by Guillermo Del Toro which has offered a first teaser.
The Cabinet of Curiosities
Guillermo del Torothe master of horror, has embarked on writing a mini-series of the genre in eight episodes: The Cabinet of Curiosities. Announced four years ago, this anthology series will tell us eight sinister and terrifying stories. These eight episodes are each directed by different directors: Jennifer Kent (Mister Babadook), Vincenzo Natali (Splice), Panos Cosmetics (Mandy), Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl walks home alone at Night), Keith Thomas (The Vigil), David Prior (The Empty Man), Guillermo Navarro (Hannibal) and Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight).

Eight horror stories
By the end of the year, therefore, we will discover eight scary stories, ranging from macabre to magical and from gothic to grotesque, including two original stories by Guillermo Del Toro. Some stories are also inspired by the works of HP Lovecraftthe father of Call of Cthulhu.
To bring these episodes to life, a large cast has been assembled. Among them, we find in particular Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bone), Sofia Boutella (The Mummy), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) or even F. Murray Abraham (The Grand Budapest Hotel). We still don’t know the exact release date of the Cabinet of Curiosities, but it should be for the end of the year 2022 on Netflixalthough a Halloween broadcast would be timely!
