Game News Summer Game Fest 2022: Devolver is embedded on Netflix, the creators of Reigns are back!
Devolver wasn’t quite done with players after its wild talk last night. The publisher has indeed reappeared on the Netflix side, to announce the mobile releases of three of its games!
In its press release, Devolver indicates that it has swapped its “compulsive obsession with Netflix in a most respectable professional relationship”. This new relationship allows to Devolver to announce three gameswhich have been released or will be released soon on the SVOD platform.
Reigns is back, and heading east!
Let’s start if you don’t mind with Reigns: Three Kingdoms, the new opus of the famous series of Nerial. Reigns is a license that offers you to lead the reign of a monarch or a queen by making decisions. To take them, you have to slide the cards that present themselves to the right or to the left, which is one of the possible choices. Unfortunately, by accumulating the wrong choices, we end up being betrayed, killed, poisoned or deposed. From a simple principle, Nerial has managed to create games that each time tell a different story.
This fifth opus is loosely based on the Chinese Three Kingdoms novel, in the heart of the last years of the Han Dynasty. By sweeping from left to right, we negotiate, we create alliances, we direct the people or we seduce, with the objective of holding on as long as possible. Nerial promises us a “tortuous” scenario and “unexpected” mini-games. The title will be released later this year.
The creators of Downwell present their new title
Poinpy is a colorful climbing game, challenging players to smash fruit in order to design a juice to feed a hungry creature. But these fruits are difficult to access, and you will have to climb the walls, jump from platform to platform, knowing that they are generated randomly. This done, it is necessary crush fruits by pounding the screen. If you want to see what the title is worth, it is possible. Poinpy is already available on Netflix’s mobile app..
Terra Nil, the city-builder from the creators of Broforce resurfaces!
Announced last year, Terra Nil is therefore a city-builder, but reversed! Instead of building a sprawling city by managing all flows, players will have to give life to a natural ecosystem. From an arid zone, it will be necessary to grow plants, attract animals, and maintain the spaces so that the environment can develop properly. As you will have understood, Terra Nil is therefore an ecological “construction” game, which completely reverses the principles of the genre. He will be released in 2023 on iOS and Android, and probably on PC since this version had already been announced.
In conclusion, Netflix indicates that these three titles are included in the Netflix subscription, and that they do not contain any in-app purchases or advertising!
About the Summer Game Fest
What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.
When does Summer Game Fest 2022 start?
The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once again be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.

What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level. Also on the program: Gotham Knights, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the first game from Aaryn Flynn’s studio (ex-Bioware) Nightingale, the JRPG One Piece Odyssey, the free-to-play Warframe or even Planet of Lana. Geoff Keighley further announced: “We have a few new game announcements for this show and hopefully a few surprises if all goes well.
