Game News Summer Game Fest 2022: Cult of the Lamb, the Binding of Isaac-style roguelite finally dated!
Announced at gamescom 2021, Cult of the Lamb is a roguelite-oriented dungeon-crawler with an original theme to say the least. Indeed, buyers of Devolver’s game will embody a lamb saved from sacrifice mounting his own sect to pay a debt.
You read correctly, in Cult of the Lamb, the players embody a agneur, saved from death by a mysterious character. In payment of his debt, our lamb will have to gather a maximum of faithful and create a real cult.
A date, a price and a demo!
To preach his “good word”, the player will have to go explore the world, and go convert new creatures, defeat others, and face rival sects. Defeating them allows the player to absorb their powers and establish dominance within their own cult. But Cult of the Lamb will not be limited to combat since, as seen in the trailer, there will be a camp to developthe center of this new faith.
It will therefore be necessary to collect resources, and use them to develop the cult and the camp. Furthermore, the decisions made by the players will have an impact on their flocks. So, will you be a totally demonic guru, or will you work with kindness for the glory of your strange benefactor? Cult of the Lamb is now expected on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC on August 11 for $22.99 or $27.98 if you want to get the Cultist Pack, containing skins and customization items.
