Game News Morbid Metal: when Devil May Cry meets roguelite, a cutting-edge trailer
Devil May Cry is an action gaming benchmark, and with good reason. So here is Morbid Metal, a game that is very freely inspired by it, but which nevertheless mixes with the very popular genre of roguelite: a new trailer was released during the Summer Game Fest 2022.
Vergil, are you there?
Developed by a developer named Felix Schade, Morbid Metal showed up during the Future Games Show, broadcast as part of the Summer Game Fest 2022: it’s a very nervous and very, largely inspired by Devil May Cry.
Specifically, the game draws its gameplay from that of Vergil, Dante’s brother, from both the DmC Devil May Cry reboot and the franchise’s mainline games. It’s honestly not a bad reference and the action looks punchy, sharp and quite nervous.
A sharp rogue-lite
If we will not face demons or monsters, the player will be confronted with equally formidable robots: we can choose four characters, interchangeable in real time, each with their own characteristics.
Above all, it is a rogue-lite, and therefore a title where the player will start from the beginning by losing a majority of his equipment with each game over. The levels are also created semi-procedurally in various biomes, with ruins in support.
Metal Morbid is expected on PC via Steambut no date has yet been announced.

What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images.
