Game news Honkai Star Rail: the successor to Genshin Impact unveils its universe during the Summer Game Fest 2022
Definitely, there is something for everyone during this 2022 edition of the Summer Game Fest and fans of MiHoYo’s latest title had the chance to discover in preview what awaits them in the studio’s next creation. Honkai: Star Rail has therefore unveiled a new trailer which highlights the astral atmosphere that emerges from the title.
The after Genshin Impact is preparing
For the MiHoYo teams, we must of course continue to capitalize on the astonishing success of Genshin Impact, but we must also explore new horizons and develop new titles, whether these are taken from an already known franchise or not. If they made themselves known with the Honkai Impact series, it is a variation of the universe that awaits us with Honkai: Star Rail.
The title was announced last October, and so far there’s been little information to sink your teeth into, other than a video gallery available on the game’s YouTube channel. Responding to the Summer Game Fest event was the perfect opportunity for the title to get a spotlight and a well-deserved hype!
Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail, the winning duo!
By debuting its trailer in space, Honkai: Star Rail makes us understand that his universe will necessarily be extended to offer us a remarkable open-world adventure. Moreover, we quickly find the action-RPG paw of its elder, Genshin Impact, and we quickly imagine that it should be as catchy as the hit of MiHoYo : get ready for an epic journey that the protagonists will be able to punctuate with many twists and turns!
The trailer gives us a glimpse of the central characters of this unprecedented adventure, but, after a bit of context, the action quickly resumes its rights and shows us how well this roster of characters knows how to fight.. Moreover, if we still know too little about it, we notice that the protagonists sport a very specific type of element, a bit like we were able to experience with Genshin Impact. However, there was a double dose of MiHoYo with the presence, just after, of Zenless Zone Zero, the second hit approaching the studio !

What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.

The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once again be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.

What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level.
