Game News Final Fantasy 7 Remake: soon on Xbox Series or Nintendo Switch? A new clue seen
Relations between Sony and Square-Enix are good, very good even, but not eternal either. Today, a new clue seems to indicate that the very good Final Fantasy VII Remake would no longer be exclusive to Sony…
True franchise within a franchise, Final Fantasy VII is definitely a game apart. Several titles now revolve around its history, we also had an animated film a long time ago and obviously, the sumptuous PS4 remake released in 2020 did not leave fans indifferent. The latter was also entitled to a nice port on PS5, still exclusively on the side of home consoles, with additional content… but it may well be that players on other platforms will finally be able to touch it.
And if we say that, it is because a new trace seems to indicate it quite clearly: Cloud’s adventure has just disappeared from the PlayStation Store in the “PS4/PS5” excluded sectionas reported by the Game Infinitus site. A detail that falls a year after the arrival of FF7 Intergrade and which clearly sounds like an end to the deal between Sony and Square-Enix.
As if by chance
To tell the truth, this gesture is certainly not insignificant, especially since we gave you other clues only a few days ago: for some strange reason, the Japanese publisher has registered several names in Japan, including that of Final Fantasy VII Intergrade. The first hypothesis that the web pointed to was the arrival of the game on other platforms, such as Xbox or, why not, the Nintendo Switch.
With the Summer Game Fest launched (see you tonight at midnight for Sony’s State of Play!) and the Xbox showcase being scheduled for June 12, we can then bet on a potential announcement in the coming days. Maybe.
