Game news Dune Spice Wars: A new feature to bring players together
Available in early access on PC, Dune: Spice Wars, a “Soft 4X STR” type game inspired by the world of Dune, welcomes a new feature through this new trailer which should delight fans of the genre.
Objective: Dominate Dune!

Towards the end of May, Shiro Games and Funcom, respective developer and publisher of Dune: Spice Wars unveiled the roadmap for its game released in early access in April. Among all the features presented, the priority was above all focused on setting up a multiplayer mode. Initially expected for this summer, we won’t have to wait any longer to get our hands on this new mode which arrives in the form of a first major update already available. Help each other or confront each other? All shots will be allowed through epic confrontations where survival is key and whose purpose is to control a planet known to be the most dangerous in the universe.
Remember that Dune: Spice Wars is a game inspired by the science fiction film by Denis Villeneuve, being itself an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Franck Herbert.
For the Spice to flow freely!
Spice, a coveted drug capable of multiplying superhuman faculties, will therefore be at the heart of new encounters for up to four players. In an “every man for himself” mode or in cooperation, a free slot may be occupied by the AI if a player cannot be found. Note that in addition to having redesigned the development trees, each game will be different in the sense that various parameters are customizable: from the difficulty to the victory conditions, through the size of the map… etc.

If this update is the first of a long series announced on the roadmap, other additional content is planned such as the addition of a new faction for example, and who seems to want to remain anonymous for the moment.
