Culture news Spider-Man No Way Home: Returning Original Green Jester? The villains in the spotlight in pictures!
The days go by and impatience at the idea of discovering the conclusion of this first Spider-Man trilogy, carried by Tom Holland, is gradually approaching its climax! Fans are so eager to discover this third installment that some sites to book tickets for the film have collapsed! As the fateful date draws closer, details emerge and more villains come to light, most notably the Green Jester.
While everyone thought that Spider-Man: No Way Home would mark the end of the Tom Holland era in the Spider-Man costume – even the actor wasn’t sure if he would continue to lend his features to Peter Parker in the future -, Sony and Marvel have both announced, through the voice of producer Amy Pascal, that a new trilogy will emerge, with potential crossovers, and that the young British actor will also be part of it!
Two very big and exciting news on the sidelines of the release of the next film! Moreover, this one continues to be talked about very regularly by revealing small details here and there. If the presence of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield remains to be proven, Marvel Entertainment’s Twitter account has revealed never-before-seen information about one of Peter Parker’s villains standing in the way of Tom Holland.
Willem Dafoe’s green jester is formalized!
To make sure that no one forgets that the film is scheduled for release on December 17, or even December 15 in our regions, Marvel Entertainment’s Twitter account posted some visuals featuring some supervillains who will be in the spotlight in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the Green Goblin is one of the lucky ones!
Vaguely glimpsed during the extracts unveiled by Disney and Sony Pictures, it was difficult to know if it was indeed the Green Goblin that we met in the first installment of the adventures of Spider-Man, with the head of Tobey Maguire poster, released in 2002 and directed by Sam Raimi. There are now no more doubts about him since Willem Dafoe will resume his role in the last episode of this trilogy, as announced in the tweet above!
Dr Octopus and Électro also honored
However, and unlike the traditional scheme, there won’t be just one supervillain and the Green Goblin will have to share the limelight with other antagonists, such as L’Homme Sable, Le Lézard as well as Dr. Octopus and Électro who had the right to their own poster.
As we had already noticed, if all the villains of this episode have not been officially presented, we already know that Dr. Octopus and Electro will give Peter Parker a hard time. Both have appeared in previous trilogies, and more specifically in Spider-man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and are illustrated in two new visuals to clarify, as for the Green Goblin, the participation of the original actors, namely Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx.
