It was during a livestream in honor of its Star Wars MMO that BioWare announced the arrival of this extension. The wait was long for players who were to see Legacy of the Sith coming on December 14th. Unfortunately, things will not go as planned.

The information came out the day before yesterday.. Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith will not land its ship on your PCs next Tuesday. Project director Keith Kanneg broke the news on the official website of the game. A decision that was difficult for the team to take, but which is meant to be bad for good. Indeed, following the various tests carried out, the extension turned out to be far below what was expected. At least, that’s what his announcement message suggests:
Legacy of the Sith is something the team has been working hard on for some time, but as we get closer to launch it’s clear that we need a little more time. So we’re focusing on further testing the many areas we’ve tweaked throughout the game to give you the experience we want and the one you deserve.
We will therefore have to wait until the new year to discover Legacy of the Sith, and more precisely February 15. A period of two months which, we hope, will allow developers to perfect this extension like no other. After producing no less than seven extensions, BioWare has decided to put the small dishes in the big for this eighth addition, which celebrates a very special event.

As a reminder, Legacy of the Sith promises to be the most ambitious expansion of this MMO, and this is not surprising. It should be remembered that the latter aims to celebrate ten years of the BioWare game, released exactly on December 20, 2011. For the occasion, players will be able to pursue Darth Malgus to the planet Manaan. Of course, who says new expansion, says missions and other new challenges. But this extension is also innovative with the arrival of fighting styles, for a more customizable experience than ever.
