Game News Overwatch 2: date, new hero, consoles… all about the new beta

It looks like the train has been restarted for Overwatch 2. After a surprise appearance on Sunday night at Summer Game Fest 2022 announcing its release date, a new beta phase has been announced by Blizzard. Here’s what to expect.

Overwatch 2: a second beta phase organized, the details

Ahead of their Overwatch 2 presentation stream scheduled for tomorrow evening (7:00 p.m. French time), Blizzard developers wanted to communicate about the next beta phase. It is on Twitter that the team behind the game communicated on this one, which promises to integrate very interesting novelties compared to the one which took place between April and May:

During this second phase of closed beta, players will therefore be able to test the new tank The Queen of Junkers. It was presented on Sunday evening during the Xbox Bethesda conference on Summer Game Fest 2022 during the broadcast of a surprise trailer. If it is not specified which new card will be highlighted during this beta, it is assumed that it will be Rio de Janeiro : she was seen this weekend at the same time as the new champion.

Overwatch 2 beta: date and registration, what you need to know

It is also via the image shared on the tweet that we can learn things about this new beta. Registrations (which can be made on the official website), begin on June 16 and this probably at the same time as the presentation. The beta meanwhile, is scheduled for June 28 and has no end date. If it were to last the same time as the first, we can expect this second phase to end on July 20. A beta phase that will not be accessible to everyone. Blizzard has extended its invitations for PC players while inviting PlayStation and Xbox players to the party. For unknown reasons, Nintendo Switch owners have been sidelined.

Don’t panic though, whether it’s for hybrid console players or those who haven’t managed to get access to the Overwatch 2 beta. You’ll just have to be a bit more patient and wait for October 4th. next and the release of the title in early access to be able to enjoy it, like everyone else.
