One Piece Netflix: Mihawk, Zeff, Captain Morgan… New actors revealed
Last night began the second edition of the Netflix Geeked Show, the account of the SVOD platform dedicated to the stories of the imagination. On this occasion, the firm of Los Gatos (California) provided a lot of information on various and varied projects that it has under the elbow. This first day (the Geeked Show lasts until Friday inclusive) was devoted to series produced by Netflix. For example, there was Resident Evil, 1899 but also its adaptation of the manga One Piece eagerly awaited by fans of the work created by Eiichiro Oda.
First of all, Netflix wanted to densify the cast of the series again by revealing new actors. Six in total which have been presented, and which will be present on the screen during different narrative arcs. We note the presence of Klahadore (Alexander Maniatis), Mihawk or Hawkeye (Steven Ward), Chef Zeff (Craig Fairbrass), Captain Morgan (Langley Kirkwood), Kaya (Celeste Loots) and Nojiko (Chioma Umeala).
Actors but also boats!
However, it is not specified here by Netflix if the six actors have completed the cast or if other comedians are to be announced. In fact, the platform has announced the different interpreters of the characters of One Piece in dribs and drabs, and some may be missing. Indeed, the vagueness still resides on the narrative cover of the first season of the live-action adaptation: the question arises above all for the screenplay arc of logetownfeaturing many important characters from the manga.
Moreover, it is worth remembering that the new actors revealed was not the only announcement of the evening for One Piece. The two showrunners of the series Steve Maeda and Matt Owens, accompanied by the actor of Luffy Iñari Godoy, revealed in a video (available above) the scenes of production of the series. We discover the real representation of the first major boats of the series (the Vogue Merry of Luffy, but also the Baratie of Zefff and Sanji) as well as the timelapses of their constructions. However, we will have to wait before seeing them navigate the final product: no release period has yet been announced.
