In March 2021, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey decided to sell a non-fungible token (NFT) from the first tweet in the platform’s history. The tweet in question dated back to 2006 and in it Dorsey said “just setting up my twttr”. The NFT was acquired by the crypto entrepreneur of Iranian origin Sina Estavi for $2.9 millionwhose profits will go to charity.

Last week, Estavi expressed his desire to sell the NFT, hoping to get 50 million dollars. He claimed that half would go to charity and the other half would be used to grow his blockchain companies. However, it seems that nobody really wants to buy the unique token for this amount, which is about 16 times what they paid for it last year.

At the time of this writing, OpenSea’s listing for the NFT only has a handful of offerings, which they range from 0.0019 ETH ($6) to 2 ETH ($6,250). Given that accepting even the highest offer would result in a loss of more than 99% for Estavi, it is doubtful that the businessman will ditch the NFT just yet.
