As a reminder, Amber Heard plays Mera in the DC Extended Universe. She is the love interest of Aquaman, the King of the Seas, and is logically considered the Queen of the Seas since she also has superpowers. A rather symbolic character who could die during her delivery at the start of this second opus, to justify the absence of the actress in the film. As a reminder, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is expected in theaters on March 17, 2023.
